| Dear Pete, We just wanted to say how much fun we had during the tour! We all had a fabulous time, and the kids are still talking about everything – especially tasting the green ants!!! We all loved the fruit bat colony, the baby turtle we found in the creek, the drive up and down the coast, the “wait a while” vines, the strangler fig and Pete’s spirit tree, painting the kids’ faces with ochre and swimming in the “pool”, and making the toothbrushes C. | Hi Pete, My 14 year old daughter and I went on a tour with Pete at the end of our 2 week tour of Australia. I was a little worried that after bridge walking, abseiling, scuba diving, ATVing, and helicopter tours this wouldn’t hold her fleeting attention. Boy, was I wrong! Pete did an excellent job of keeping her and me engaged with his never ending knowledge of the flora and fauna of the Daintree. | |||

I won’t steal his thunder here, but suffice it to say you will become intimately familiar with sweet things, sour things, bitter things, prickly things, and a host of other sensations not the least of which will be wonder and a little fear. When you are with Pete, the jungle turns into a veritable buffet. Just remember the golden rule – The guide always tries it first! From a logistics perspective, Trish was always very responsive in answering inquiries and even fulfilled my daughters request of Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches for lunch. They were great after 2 weeks of “foreign” food. Thanks, Pete and Trish, for making our trip so memorable Dennis & Brittany |

| Hi Pete, We greatly enjoyed the wonderful tour in the Daintree Rainforest that you gave us on Sunday, May 17. The tour was the highlight of our visit to Australia. Attached are a few pictures of our great time together. Many, many thanks for the memorable day! A. & M. Van de Veen | |||

| Hi Pete, Attached are “some” pictures from our trip with you. We really had a great time. Mackenna still talks about the big spiders (which I failed to get a picture of) and of course the vine that she climbed up pretty high. She was very eager to always want to know what the next thing we were going to eat in the forest was. I did not get too many pictures of the ants as it was raining at the time, but Dylan especially remembers licking their bums and he was so brave to volunteer to “sniff” them. He really enjoyed leading the way out of the forest even though he had his little “accident”. You were great with him and even encouraged him to continue leading the way after he fell. | |||

They loved swimming in the river and of course driving through the river even more! Ian of course wanted to do what everyone else did and was really excellent on the trip. Pete and I loved the company and enjoyed all the interesting facts you had to share. We will definitely recommend you to our friends. C. Buchanan & family |

| Dear Pete, Like I promised a few images from our bushwalk. This has been a truly unforgettable day for me. I enjoyed EVERY minute! It was so interesting to listen to the things, facts and stories you had to tell. I still remember very well the bush tic-tac, bush lego, the bottom of green ants, the camouflage of another ant pretending to be a spider, and the fact that the rainforest actually is a big pharmacy with plants containing substances ranging from soft to very strong pharmaceutical agents. I also learned the difference between a fern tree and a tree fern. The coconut you prepared for me I just loved, and I still did not find out about the secret of miracle fruit! |

I never experienced a day comparable to this one, fun on the one hand, interesting and educational on the other. I strongly recommend this tour to anyone travelling to Australia - it will be one of the top-highlights of the trip!! Thanks again, Pete, for this wonderful day - and if I ever return to Australia, Daintree will be one of the sites I will be visiting again for sure! Heidrun |

| Hi Pete and Trish Thank you for hosting us on the Daintree tour on 21 Dec 2008. We had the Thai hot and sour Tom Yam soup at Cairns for dinner and it tasted SWEET! We had to go the same restaurant and order the same dish a few days later to make sure that the sweet taste is not due to the aussie way of serving Tom Yam. Next time when you serve the "miracle fruit", you must not only remind everyone about funny tasting champagne but include all food that are supposed to taste sour! My two boys are still recounting on their green ant tasting experience to anyone who cares to hear. S. Chua |

| Hi Pete, The day was extraordinary - it gave us a chance to not only see parts of the beautiful Daintree forest we never would have seen otherwise, but to understand what we were seeing. We all learned so much of the ecosystem, saw the rainforest in it's important and tiny details, learned about the interaction of the animals and plants, and increased our appreciation of what we saw. The day we spent with you was definitely one of the highlights of our three weeks in Australia. Thanks again. Mimi | |||

| Hi Pete We enjoyed the walk very much. It was a good experience to go into the bush and hear all your stories and information in a very personal way. Also the lunch spot and the home made cookies were very nice. We liked to swim in the rainforest pool and search for rock art stones. We thank you for this experience and wish you all the best. Cheers, Gerben en Erika |
