Waterfall in Daintree NP Bushwalks in the Daintree NP in Queensland, Australia Animals in the Daintree Rainforest and in the Outback in Queensland, Australia

Daintree Specialised Tours offers a range of tours visiting some of the most spectacular sites in Queensland's tropical north. Pete's Bushwalks are geared towards the more active travellers. Follow narrow bush tracks and riverbeds to some of the most remote places in the Daintree rainforest. Cross knee-deep creeks and, for the particularly keen guest, climb to the base of a refreshing waterfall. Don't miss out on an invigorating swim in one of the cool, fresh-water streams in the area.

The day is divided into two parts; the initial, easier part followed by a somewhat more challenging walk. For families with younger children or travellers with special requirements, it is advisable to book this tour as a private charter. This enables Pete to adapt the tour to suite your respective requirements.

Bushwalks are recommended for those who wish for a hands on experience. Be prepared to get your feet wet and to be taken a little out of your comfort zones. Sample bush foods, learn about rainforest medicines, Tarzan vines, ancient Cycads, Strangler Figs and general ecology.

Daintree Rainforest Bushwalks (Day Tour)

Let Pete guide you to the heart of the Daintree rainforest. He has exclusive access to one of the most beautiful private properties. Off the beaten track, this is surrounded by the Daintree National Park.
Sample the different rainforest fruits and learn of the traditional medicines, used by the local aboriginal people. World Heritage listed, the Daintree rainforest is home to some of the rarest and most fascinating plants on our planet, Strangler Figs, Cycads and Fern Trees. With luck, you may spot the fierce-looking Boyd's Forest Dragon, harmless tree snakes or a rare Cassowary. Take a refreshing dip in one of the crystal-clear creeks and by day's end, you will agree it was all well worth the effort.
